5. Adjusting the pH of the compost. In compost fertilizer production, a certain amount of alkaline substances (such as lime, grass ash, etc.) should be added to adjust the acidity and alkalinity, adding 1-1.5 kg of straw every 50 kg. At the same time, the compost produced in this way has the function of keeping water and fertilizer in the soil.
