Operation method of fertilizer manufacturing in rotary drum granulator

Rotary drum granulator is a kind of moulding machine which can make materials into specific shapes. It is one of the key equipment in fertilizer manufacturing process. It is suitable for granulation of various raw materials and large-scale production of various compound fertilizers. Its main working mode is wet granulation, through a certain amount of water or steam to make the basic fertilizer fully react in the cylinder after humidification, under certain liquid conditions, with the help of the cylinder rotating motion to produce extrusion force between particles to agglomerate into spheres.

Operation method of drum granulator
Steam, gas ammonia or phosphoric acid or nitrogen solution, phosphorus ammonia slurry and heavy calcium slurry are introduced into the drum granulator. The chemical reaction and heating of the material are completed in the drum, and the granulation process of compound fertilizer is completed. Or a small amount of water can be added to the drum granulator to complete the cold granulation process of compound fertilizer. Material rotates in the drum through the rotary motion of the cylinder, and sticks to the ball at a certain humidity and temperature to complete the ball making process.


1. The barrel of the drum granulator is made of ultra-high polymer material lining or acid-resistant stainless steel lining, which realizes the automatic detachment of the bonding materials, eliminates the traditional device, avoids the sticking of materials and reduces the labor intensity of workers.

2. Steam heating is introduced into the drum granulator to raise the temperature of the material so as to reduce the moisture content of the material after pelleting and improve the drying efficiency of the fertilizer production process.

3. The pelletizing rate of granulator machine is 70%. Fertilizer manufacturing process has a small amount of returned material, which can be re-pelletized with small particle size.

4. Rotary drum granulator has good appearance quality, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, long service life and easy operation.

5. Drum granulator machine has large output, saves power consumption and low maintenance cost.
