Belt conveyor is an important equipment in fertilizer production line. It is also widely used in coal, metallurgy, mining and chemical industries. Belt deviation is harmful to belt conveyor. It will increase the resistance of belt operation and increase the wear between belt and rack. Long time belt deviation may cause the paralysis of the whole equipment. Belt deviation of belt conveyor may be the following reasons.
1) Errors in the manufacture of belt conveyor itself lead to belt deviation. This is mainly about the flatness of the belt joint, the quality of the belt itself and the processing of the drum. The smoothness of the outer surface of the drum also causes uneven tension on both sides of the belt, which makes the belt run to the side with larger diameter. The uneven belt joint of belt conveyor will also cause uneven tension on both sides of the belt, and the belt will always run away from the side with high tension.
We can change the tension force on both sides of the drum by adjusting the tension device to eliminate the unbalanced force which makes the belt run away. 2) There are errors in the installation of belt conveyor. For the installation of long belt conveyor, there are high requirements for the installation quality. If the frame is skewed during installation, the belt will be seriously deviated, and it is difficult to adjust. The uneven pressure of the rubber plate on both sides of the guide groove will also lead to the inconsistency of the running resistance on both sides of the belt, which will cause the belt to run off. When installing the conveyor, it is necessary to ensure the unity of the center line of the frame and the height of both sides of the frame; at the same time, the axes of the roller group and the drum must be perpendicular to the center line of the conveyor.
3) Dropping point deviation of belt conveyor. Because the belt conveyor is a continuous conveying equipment, the impact of material on the belt at the blanking point is also continuous. If the blanking point is not in the middle of the belt, this sustained impact will push the belt to one side, leading to deviation. Where the blanking point is biased, the belt will run in the opposite direction. Therefore, when installing the conveyor, it should be strictly in accordance with the construction specifications to ensure that the installation of the blanking point is in the correct position.
