What equipment is needed for a roller press granulation production line?

2025/12/18

In the large-scale production of compound fertilizers, roller press granulation production lines have become the core choice for processing NPK compound fertilizers and trace element compound fertilizers due to their wide adaptability to raw materials and high cost-effectiveness. The efficient operation of this production line relies on the precise coordination of multiple professional equipment, each playing an indispensable role in completing the entire process from raw materials to finished fertilizer.

The automatic batching machine is the "precise allocation core" of the production line. The quality of compound fertilizers begins with scientific proportioning. The batching machine needs to accurately measure basic raw materials such as urea, ammonium phosphate, and potassium chloride, and add trace elements such as boron, iron, copper, and zinc as needed, ensuring that the proportions of various nutrients meet production standards. By uniformly mixing the raw materials, it eliminates component deviations and provides a uniformly textured mixture for the subsequent granulation process, serving as the first line of defense in ensuring fertilizer quality.
The double roller press granulator, as the "core molding device" of the production line, directly determines the molding effect of the granules. The mixed raw materials are fed into the equipment through a vertical screw feeder, and molded through gradually increasing extrusion pressure in the gap between two oppositely rotating rollers. This equipment has loose requirements for raw material particle size; 1-4mm granular materials and fine powders can be used. Using powdered raw materials can effectively reduce production costs. Its unique extrusion principle allows the material to form structurally stable granules under pressure changes.
The crusher and screening mechanism constitute the "particle finishing system". The plate-shaped material formed after extrusion needs to be crushed into small particles by a special plate crusher, and then enters the screening machine for multi-stage screening. Fine particles at the bottom of the screen are recycled to the mixer for re-granulation, while large particles at the top are returned to the crusher for secondary crushing, repeating the cycle until the standard particle size of 1-4mm is reached. High-quality crushing and screening equipment not only ensures uniform product particles but also improves the economic efficiency of the entire production line.
The coating machine is a "key supporting equipment" for improving product quality. After coating treatment, qualified granules can enhance moisture resistance, extend storage life, and optimize the nutrient release rate of the fertilizer in the soil, preventing nutrient loss and improving fertilizer utilization, making the product more competitive in the market.
Belt conveyors and automatic packaging machines ensure the "continuity and standardization" of production. Belt conveyors, acting as material transfer links, smoothly transport raw materials and intermediate products between various equipment, ensuring uninterrupted production processes.  Automatic packaging machines then complete the quantitative packaging of finished products, quickly packaging qualified granular fertilizers. This not enhances production efficiency but also guarantees the uniformity and standardization of product packaging.
These interconnected and collaboratively operating devices form a complete roller granulation production system, providing solid support for the high-quality, large-scale production of compound fertilizers, and are indispensable equipment in the field of fertilizer production.
