How to use wine residue, medicine residue to Fermentation to Prepare Organic Fertilizer

2019/06/26
Wine residue is the grain residue left by breweries after brewing. Medicine residue is a large amount of residue left by the extraction of effective ingredients in medicinal materials. Medicine residue and wine residue are treated by accumulation, landfill or incineration, which not only wastes resources, but also pollutes the environment. Medicine residue, wine residue and other wastes are rich in crude fibers, crude protein, NPK and other trace elements, which are high-quality raw materials for organic fertilizer preparation. Organic fertilizer made from medicine residue, wine residue and agricultural waste not only realizes resource recovery, but also creates value again. Organic fertilizer made from medicine residue and wine residue has better quality than general fertilizer. It is a feasible method to ferment the wine residue and medicine residue into organic fertilizer by using the compost turning machine.

Fermentation method of wine residue and medicine residue
Medicine residue and straw were crushed into 1-3 cm long materials, which were fully mixed with distiller's grains in a certain proportion and put into fermentation tank. Fermentation materials could also be added with fermentation bacteria to accelerate fermentation. In the process of organic fertilizer fermentation, attention should be paid to controlling the C/N ratio of materials. Because most of the organic matter will be oxidized to carbon dioxide during the fermentation process, and heat will be released during the fermentation process of organic matter, so carbon is the source of heat in the fermentation process. Nitrogen in residues also supplies heat. Carbon and nitrogen are the main factors affecting the activity and proliferation of microorganisms. The growth of microorganisms with too large C/N ratio is restricted, and too small C/N ratio affects the decomposition rate of organic matter. Therefore, it is very important to control the C/N ratio in the fermentation process.

In addition to controlling the C/N ratio, we can also use organic fertilizer equipment to regulate the oxygen content of compost. In aerobic high temperature fermentation, microbial activity consumes oxygen. In order to ensure the oxygen content in the material, we need to use compost turning machine to dump the material and increase the oxygen supply of the material. The compost turning machine flips the lower materials onto the top so that all materials can fully contact oxygen, creating good conditions for microbial activities.
